May is Pink! from The Modern Diary

I finished my blocks for Princess Crown #2 and was so excited I started sewing them together.  About three fourths of the way through I realized I had forgotten to add the already cut sashing and cornerstones!  I decided to just keep on keeping on and cut another whole quilt to use the sashing and cornerstones in.

I am loving my Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmers for trimming up all the hst's for the A Quilting Life BOM/Rainbow Scrap Challenge block.  Here are my pink blocks for May.  Linking up with Angela .

A Few Finishes, Finally! from The Modern Diary

My second Moth in the Window quilt is a flimsy.  I love it!
Winter Blues aka Packer Bliss is also finally a flimsy!  So happy to have that border done and added on.  

I started working on my second Princess Crown quilt last week since it is cut and waiting.  Got about a quarter of the blocks made.

Princess Crown and More! from The Modern Diary

Here is the new granddaughter's Princess Crown qult top.  She should be arriving on August 9th.  She is breech and will be getting turned and induced (or C sectioned) on August 9th.  Hoping she turns herself and comes on her own before that, but soon she will be here!  Hazel is beyond excited (I am going to be a big sister!) as are we!
I started this Eye Spy just before we moved, and discovered it in the tote when I went to start another one.  So quick finish on this top.   
I quilted two of my tops yesterday ...

Princess Crown and More! from The Modern Diary

Our daughter and son in law got us a long weekend together in Door County for Christmas and we picked up this little goat for our Christmas ornament this year to remember the trip.  We did many fun things with Hazel that we had not done when Hannah and I went five years ago, including the goat parade in Sister's Bay.  We did play a new game called Mantis which we really enjoyed.  We took the long way there because Mom and Dad (now in Marshfield) watched the dogs.  We played Nine Golf the night we spent with them ...
